We are MS Society volunteers interested in radio communications.

THANK YOU to the 75 plus MS SCRAM volunteers who dedicated over 3800 hours of public service to the MS Society in the 2010 season!!

Our Mission
  • To support the Minnesota Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s fundraising BikeMS rides by providing reliable radio communications and other volunteer services.
  • Cooperate on the BikeMS safety team as directed by the MS Society staff.
  • Realize the mission of the MS Society is to create a world free of multiple sclerosis.
  • Recognize the MS Society as a nonprofit organization and perform our services by minimizing financial burden and thus maximizing fundraising potential for the organization.

Volunteers Are Needed for multiple positions in each of the three annual BikeMS rides.

All volunteers must register with the MS Society, please call 612-335-7900 or click here .

Licensed amateur radio operators are requested to bring equipment to support the event. Nonlicensed individuals interested in radio communications may volunteer to be teamed with a licensed operator. Make it a family event!

What equipment is needed?
We use VHF and UHF FM voice communications plus APRS for vehicle tracking.

MS SCRAM is an independent group comprised of volunteers dedicated to ending multiple sclerosis.
Its partnership with the National MS Society includes radio communication and volunteer support during the events in which it participates.
