Our Mission
  • To support the Minnesota Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s fundraising BikeMS rides by providing reliable radio communications and other volunteer services.
  • Cooperate as part of the BikeMS safety team as directed by the MS Society staff.
  • Realize the mission of the MS Society is to create a world free of multiple sclerosis.
  • Recognize the MS Society as a nonprofit organization and perform our services by minimizing financial burden and thus maximizing fundraising potential for the organization.

Volunteers Are Needed!
Communications volunteers are needed for each of the three annual BikeMS rides.

Radio operators and other volunteers are needed to fill multiple positions on the BikeMS rides. Licensed operators can volunteer time and equipment. Nonlicensed individuals interested in radio communications may volunteer to be teamed with a licensed operator. Make it a family event!

Equipment management, set-up, tear-down, recruitment, education, planning, and more, are examples of the positions available.

For more information about these rides, visit the Minnesota Chapter website.

All volunteers must register with the MS Society, please call 612-335-7900 or click here to learn more.

What equipment is needed?
We use VHF and UHF FM voice communications plus APRS for vehicle tracking.
